Swiss International University (SIU) was honored to welcome an official delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to its Dubai campus this week.The visit reflected the growing spirit of cooperation between SIU and Kazakh academic institutions, highlighting the shared commitment to advancing education and cultural exchange between Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, and Kazakhstan.
During the cordial meeting, both sides discussed the potential establishment of a Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of SIU in Kazakhstan.This initiative aims to bring SIU’s Swiss model of hospitality education to Central Asia — focusing on international standards, hands-on training, and the development of future leaders in tourism and hotel management.
Representatives of the Kazakh Embassy expressed their appreciation for SIU’s innovative approach to applied higher education and welcomed the idea of closer cooperation with Kazakh universities.Both parties agreed to hold a follow-up meeting soon to sign an official Agreement of Intention, under which SIU would provide academic support and expertise to Kazakh institutions in developing modern, globally oriented programs in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
The meeting concluded in a positive atmosphere of mutual respect and collaboration, emphasizing the importance of education as a bridge between nations.SIU reaffirmed its readiness to strengthen academic partnerships with Central Asian universities and to contribute to the sustainable growth of the hospitality and tourism sectors in the region.
