Mrs. Briand’s legal education includes a Bachelor’s degree from Cyprus and two master's from the University of Lausanne: an MLaw in International and Comparative Law and an LLM in International and European Economic and Commercial Law. These qualifications ground her approach in both legal theory and global application.

Mrs. Derya A. Briand has served with distinction at some of the world’s most respected international organizations, including the United Nations and the International Labour Organization. Her work in these global institutions has given her deep insight into the legal, economic, and diplomatic frameworks that shape international cooperation.
